Cinco De Mayo 1.0

Friday, May 5, 2017
5 PM – Midnight
Thursday’s Restaurant
410 Wolfe Lane, Bridgewater, PA 15009 USA

History
The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has taken on a significance beyond that in Mexico. In the U.S. the date has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico’s Independence Day—the most important national holiday in Mexico—which is celebrated on September 16, commemorating the Cry of Dolores that initiated the war of Mexican independence from Spain.

Random Acts of Kindness

Wednesday, July 26, 2017
ANYWHERE!

In honor of Bob Kunkel, we ask that you take a moment to do a Random Act of Kindness for a person in your community. Bob was a kind soul, hard worker and devoted father and Pap Pap. He was often found laughing, smiling, joking, building something new, fixing something old, eating something spicy 🌶 or drinking his black coffee. He believed in helping others and doing what was right. Random acts of kindness can be preformed anywhere… maybe you’ll be the recipient of one soon!

Prince Dance Party 3.0

TBA
8 PM – Midnight
Thursday’s Restaurant
410 Wolfe Lane, Bridgewater, PA 15009 USA

We had so much fun dancing the night away to Prince music that we are going Purple with a Purpose again this year! Weather permitting, we will be showing Purple Rain again outside and have a DJ taking your requests for an all out Purple Party! The cover charge for our Purple with a Purpose event will help us fund our philanthropic endeavors throughout the year. Last year’s event helped to fund Beaver County BookFest and PUSH’s Path to Wellness. With the help of your dancing shoes, we’ll be able to continue funding these and other great events! Bring yourself, bring your friends, dazzle us with your best purple outfits (maybe a puffy shirt?), but most of all, bring your best dance moves and cut loose like we did back in the day at Thursday’s.

Can’t wait to see you there!
